Mine is in medium weight at the mo..not for much longer as she isnt clipped

In a lightweight today, but on the sunny days we've had, she's been naked!

At night in the stable she's been in a lightweight with a fleece underneath on the really cold nights.

She's unclipped and sweats like anything even naked.

my cob is fully clipped and out 24/7 in a mediumweight full neck.....

as i've ALWAYS said, you only clip off ONE layer of hair, they dont need 4 rugs to compensate.

Both out. One is unclipped and just in a rain sheet so she stays cleanish. The other is in a MW as he has a blanket clip. It will be about 4C tonight.

Come tell work that please, I'm sick of putting on/taking off 4 rugs every day. Bring on Spring.

Q is fully clipped & has a 420g h/w turnout on with hood.
Spider has a irish blanket clip & has a 200g m/w turnout with hood.

Both were toasty even with the v cold weather over the last week

Anyhow...when are we up for a nice hack again????

Whenever you fancy. May have to be Gyp instead of Hattie though. She's having her shoes off next month so she can play baby making, hopefully.

same mobey L???

I'll txt you end of the month as i'll be having George the newfie back then and sarah can ride Jay.

It'll be nice..we'll box your way and go x/c whatever you feel is best ...

Both mine are out in the day in HW 450g with hoods, and in at night with a LW 115g with hood and HW 400g on top. Both are clipped out, apart from legs.

Mine are out 24/7 with rounds of hay and are all a good weight.
unclipped ISH 70g with neck
fully clipped pony 200g no neck
blanket clipped pony 220g with neck

Bea is in 350g with necks both in and out at the min and she is fully clipped. With the very cold weather recently she has had a fleece under her stable rug at night.

Josh is blanket clipped and also wearing the same as Bea but i think his stable rugs are slightly heavier than Beas but he is never over warm.

Merlin still only has the outer of his rambo duo on.... no liner so only 100g

He has not been clipped and seems to be warm enough... hopefully if he does get cold at night it will just be enough to shiver off a layer of flab so that when the spring grass comes through he wont explode!!!!

My anglo arab is out 24/7 unclipped wearing a MW full hood... his face is soo hairy but under the rug he looks like he's had a clip... he looks odd

Pics below (big bay horse) were taken when I started training him for his previous owners and he use to come in at night and was refered to as a poor doer, now he is outside on grass and haylage diet and those ribs are showing no longer

Hunter fully clipped and out 24/7 in a 450g at night and has been naked during day recently.
TB out 24/7 naked
Pony out 24/7 not clipped but very old (42) has a 100g at night.

all are unclipped, ponies are in lightweights, naked on warm days, mediumweights (200g) on really cold nights. Older, bigger boy, in at night in 250g quilt, plus fleece on really cold nights, day ranges between naked on warmest days, to 200g full neck on cold days.
