If I fully clip my native this week what weight rug would I need for night time turnout please?

I usually put a medium weight combo on my pony but they are all different.

Hmm that's what I thought....... I have a lightweight, a 300g, a 350g and a 400g but no 200g!
I wasn't sure if the 300g counts as medium or heavy?

My amigo rug is 200g she is wearing that at the moment (not clipped yet). I have a saxon combo 180g I use this combined with a very light stable rug under once clipped. Did buy a nice shires stormbreaker this year for when she is clipped that is 300g so I count that as heavy.

They also suffer more in the rain than cold.....if you have endless rain they seem to be colder than if its -5

Think I need to go rug shopping then!
I am going to wait until this current spell of rain is over but we have jumping and dressage next weekend so thought I should clip before then.
Some of ours came in shivering this morning so will be putting rainsheet on tonight.

how hardy is the horse? my mare has been clipped all year and I've only just put a rug on her today, I put a medium on coz she was wet, so it could absorb it! but she will have a light weight at night only once she is dry!

He's a Dales so pretty hardy, but is very thick and woolly now so a full clip will be noticed I think!
