What weight?

I know this is a very commonly asked question but I’ve lost a fair bit of weight and now not sure what size pony/horse I can ride. I’m 10 stone currently but hoping to be 8stone 7/9 Stone.

I’m an experienced rider so am balanced and can carry myself. Even 3 stone heavier I rode fairly lightly.

I’m looking at buying a project pony in the next few years so curious about what sizes I could realistically be looking at

Anything that’s not tiny/sub 350kg. If you do get down to 7 stone then anything 250kg up which only really rules out super tinies.

Thats great, I’d sort of be looking at the 13.2 market ideally, a safe pony that will just go and do it’s job

Any idea what roughly would be okay for me at 10stone currently?
the cob i ride is 550kg minimum in sports condition so I’m not too worried about squashing him
