Moving to a livery yard. For horse and stable. We are moving 2 hours away from home, going to be our first time at a livery yard and I have no clue what I will need ect all my stuff is browed at present so all I have is a head collar, lead home and the foal lol  My foal has never been in a box before he came to us in a transit. I only have two weeks to get ready and not alot of money so wonder if any one can offer us advice and advice on best way to travel him. Thank you :)

Mucking out tools, wheelbarrow, poo picker! Grooming kit, rugs, it's handy to have a a storage container to keep hat, boots, horses bits in always keeps everyone happy if u keep your area clean and tidy! What about dustbins for feed? Feed buckets and water buckets for stable and field. Do u need to electric fence your field? If so posts, tape and battery. Umm That's all I can think of at mo.

Water buckets.
Feed buckets.
Hay/haylage nets.
Mucking out tools.
Headcollars and leadropes (couple of spares if poss).

Hay/haylage. Bedding if you are bringing them in. Feed if you will be feeding them. Rugs if you need them (but if you haven't already, you probably don't need them..)

For a two hour journey-
Travel bandages and pads or travel boots.
Haynets.

Have you organised transport?
Can you get someone to take you on a few journies so the foal gets used to travelling. Two hours is quite far for something that hasn't travelled much.

On a foal?? Really? Wow - mine would have been more stressed out by putting / having these on that any benefit would have been negated.

I just made sure there was a really deep shaving bed in the trailer so she couldn't hurt herself. Maybe I was just really lucky but she arrived home at the end of her 2 hour journey unblemished.
