What wormer do i need for this time of year?

Normally its all sorted for me but ive moved to a private yard so its all up to me now!

I used Pramox a few weeks ago, I use it spring and autumn with "normal" wormers in between, i.e. rotating between Equest, Panacur, etc.

Do you know what was used on your horse last?

Here are three useful worming schedules from various websites:

and

and

May help

If you are now on private yard, you my find you can use worm counts to see if they need woming, and just worm twice a year - Spring and Autumn, to cover tapeworm, bots and engcysted samll redworms. Other worms will show as eggs per gram on a worm count.

Thanks - that is a really useful set of links - all saved - and I know what I need to buy now!

Glad they may be of help. I like and use the third one by Chalgrove Equine Clinic myself.

The idea of doing a worm count might be a good idea if you've just moved to a new yard. It will give you an indication of how successful your past worming schedule has been and whether or not you need to worm for any particular type at this stage. Maybe the test/s will come back negative and you won't need to worm at all at this stage.
