So i want the red showjacket for my birthday
i was going to get ebs the stud girth [with the red white and blue on]
and the white tendon boots [thanks for offers from others though]

Just wondered are they any good , cause there not cheap either
are they worth the price?

I must admit I am sucker for some of it!
I have the white Tendon Boots and I think they are fab, very secure and protect his legs very well although I don't use them anymore, are they still £60?

I think its all a bit over priced though as you are paying for the name. Although I had to borrow one of the jackets as I forgot mine and I actually got very hot in it very quick and they are meant to be 'breathable'

As for the stud girth they look very good quality I'd go for it, and the way your horse tucks her legs up she does need one :)

I think you could find cheaper stuff somewhere else but if it's what you want get it.

Have you seen the caldene red show jacket or the joshua jones one? I think these are better quality and the caldene one is cheaper.

Some of the stuff is lovely, but I do think it's a bit overpriced. I'd agree you could probably get better/the same elsewhere for a more reasonable price.

I've got the JW Smug jacket, though, I bought it on sale (down from £80 to £55) in my local tack shop, and it's been great, lovely and warm in the winter :)

Same about the boots!! I saved up all my money for them than I decided to buy an air jacket instead :p I do love the ones with the pink and the diamonds! But the show jackets aren't as expensive as the boots as its a different company which makes them, they just sell them. You're still looking at about £300 though!

£300 :|
the caldene ones 170 but the whitaker ones 140 but people keep telling the whitaker ones are really bad

oooo i would do anthing for them lovely boots, wouldt wear them be to worried of getting them dirty ;)

i can say - the caldene ones are really lovely. even though im not a fan of red jackets, i do really like them. The fits is really good, and i think they look smart too. definatley go for caldene if i was you :)

I had JW tendon boots and the elastic in the straps stretched to the point that the boots keep slipping now and that was after less than a year of show only use. I don't think much of the quality of the stuff i've had tbh and you'd be better off getting something of better quality without the whitaker name. I'm also not a fan of red jackets unless you're competing at a high level but if you're brave enough good for you, prob go with caldene though

Maybe I'm really unfashionable but I think a red coat on a teenage girl would look somewhat strange, even I can remember the days when only the top male showjumpers wore them. (I know lots of people do wear them now but I think it looks silly, just my opinion)

As for the other stuff, not to my taste but one of the girls on the yard has a lot of JW stuff and then quality seems to be good :)
