Hi,
We went playing at our 1st dressage a week ago; got 60% in the beginners prelim class & got the bug I think!!

I'm tempted to run her in two classes at the end of January; a beginners prelim & an ordinary Prelim to see how the sheets compare under two different judges, indoor v outdoor & restricted v open class.

Do you think I'm being over ambitious?

Go for it. Sounds like a good plan

Think you will find that the second test is better as you've already done one as a warm up more or less.... but why do restricted V Open??? Just stay in restricted section!

Cos there is only one "restricted" class at that venue

Reading the OP i'd have thought it is unaffilliated?? So therefore first prelim is probably restricted to people who have never been placed and then the second prelim is probably open to people never been placed at novice, or something like that?!
OP - go for it, it's good to get two sheets on the same day as then you can compare your thoughts of how each test went to the differing sheets.

Sorry, yes its unaffiliated!
The 1st class is restricted to never won a prelim or placed in a novice.

The 2nd prelim is open to anyone.

2 tests it is I think; if it goes wrong.. well at least I know.
