i was at the yard and this girl was on my mates tiny pony and cause he was napping she got hold of the reins and yanks the **** out of his mouth - which now hass a small cut inside :(

and i said to the owners if that was my horse she was off been knocked straight off?

what would you do if you let someone on your horse and started doing something like this?

I once caught someone hurting my horse. I ended up with a 6'5" man, in tears,on the ground on his knees, begging for mercy. 'Nuff said?

If it was a kid I'd do what was done to me my a crazy old Pony Club instructor many moons ago. I had grumpily yanked my little pony in the gob (completely wrong I know but to be fair I had been bucked off about 15 times - literally - in one lesson and just lost my rag a bit. Plus I was only like 8). My instructor hooked up a bridle on my arm and yanked the reins so I could feel how a metal bit felt on sensitive flesh with too much pressure applied! I was a lot kinder with my hands after that! But that was back in the day when casual child abuse was not so frowned upon. It was a simpler time :D

Hehe G&T you're soo right. I remember our PC DC slapping a boy with his whip after he'd given his pony some fair whacks. She was demonstrating to him what it felt like!! Bit harsh i guess but I think he learnt from it. To be fair he was also her son!!! Lol

I slept in my stable. With a crow bar. And 2 of my burly mates. :D

I'd tell the person/owners what you think, that the harsh treatment is not nescessary and counter productive, and to perhaps re think the methods used. DONT seem bitchy or interfeering though, it never helps!

Haha - perfectly acceptable imo! I have so much nostalgia for my PC days and the 'old school' DC's of yesteryear! To be fair they're prob still like that today, nowt so queer as horsey folk :p xx

My mate let some girl at her yard ride her horse and she did similar yanked her horse in the gob so bad it bled - I told her there and then she's lucky it wern't my horse otherwise she'd ave been mopping her own blood up ! disgusting to yank the mouth that hard to make them bleed.

We moved livery yards when we kept finding rubbish (empty lemonade bottles and crisp packets) in Blackjack's stable, and then later found out that other owners (about 12 years old) were sitting on the wall and repeatedly throwing them at him :(

A yard manager was trying to put a poultice on my horse as I was having terrible trouble getting him to stand still for me so she offered to try - he wasnt trying to kick her, but he was pulling his leg forward out of her hands and refusing to stand still so she stood back, lifted her leg and booted him twice in the ribs.

My friend had to drag me away until I calmed down - I was in tears I was so angry at her.
