Some one was saying un nice things about a horse that they bought from you that were deflamantory and untrue all over the websites?

Without knowing exactly what was said, I think i'd put a post on the websites to say that if they had a problem they should speak to you directly rather than bad mouth you and lie on the internet, which amounts to slander....

depends...depending on if horse sold from you was personal horse or one on behalf of an establishment (ie was it part of your work etc), if work based sale then I would definately take it further, ie slander/reputation etc on a public domain, not on at all.

If personal sale, let them get on with it, or do what local "professional" got slated by a lady on our yard.....said professional actually turned up at our yard and had it out with the gobby one! - soon shut her up and not another word was ever said.

Sometimes if you face up to people when they are nasty behind your back, you will find its enough.

Good luck.

I would phone them up, or go and visit, talk it though and find out what the problems were. With liason and not falling out, you could help rectify the problem.

I think it is very unfair for them to do this to you, I would face them head on and sort it out. Dont argue, or get nasty, it will only add fuel to the fire. You are going to have to try and smooth this over, to save your name and reputation.
