What would you do, ponies no hay in this weather.

I keep my horse next to some people that have strange thinking about horse care. The ponies are out 24/7 like mine a 12.2 and 2 14hh apparently the 12.2 and one of the 14hh get laminitis so they like to keep them lite, understandable but the 12.2 is hughe and the 14hh is a hatrack. With the snow I am feeding my one horse 3 sections of hay a day (large bale) there is not much grass even under the snow well these people must only be feeding their 3 horses 1 section between then. The ponies never normally go up to anybody, now they are pestering everybody that walks through the field so they must be hungry.

What would you do if you were me? I do not really want to confront them, I have to have my horse next to theirs? Print some nutritional info out for them? Call the RSPCA and see if they could have a word?

The second - it's worth a phone call and it will be anonymous. If there are people walking through, it could be anyone that contacted the charity.

wont hurt to ring whw and have a chat wih them hun - they may come out and all ok but at least you have peace of mind

If I had any cause for concern for a horses wellbeing I would make a call and report it asap especially in this weather!

In the past I have rung Redwings about a horse I was concerned about. They came out to educate the owners and things improved. Very often, owners are well-meaning but don't know enough.
