Irish lady wins 5.7euros what would you buy if you had won? Me, I would buy loads of land with a really tiny house (no house work) an amazing arena, a massive horse box and invite all my mates to be my liveries!

Ha! Another one with my way of thinking.... LOTS of land, small house 2-3 beds would do us fine.... indoor and outdoor school, livery yard. I might also build an all-weather gallops too..... coz I do sometimes have a bit of a need for speed :o

The Irish lady who won is actually horsey and involved in reining so the money will be well spent....

I'd walk into my boss's office with a handful of tenners and slap his left cheek with them and say 'I' and then slap his right cheek with them and say 'QUIT'

:eek::eek::p:p:p:D:D:D:D:D:D

I would buy in this order, 1)a huge load of land with a 4 bedroom house, and maybe a holiday cottage attatched so i could have people stay over a school would be a bonus occasionally
2) a nice new defender
3) a saddle so i could break my girly in
4) a nice small horse lorry
5) A saluki puppy for me
6) whippet for the husband
7)some riding lessons
8) my friends farm off of her parents so she doesnt have to worry about it being sold
9) a dressage school master so i could learn some stressage

I would buy the poshest retirement flat I could find in a country mansion. A new car, but I would keep the old muddy battered car for the dogs. I would have regular physio/massage/acupuncture/haircuts. I would tell my self-employed husband he can stop killing himself with work and can spend the rest of his life doing his unpaid research. I would buy my son the smallholding I know he does not dare dream of and tell my daughter in law she does not need to go to work if she does not want to. The horses already have everything they need!

The farm behind my parents house is currently for sale for £1.8 million! I was thinking I would offer them £1.5 mil cash for a quick sale hehe! It has a detached 3 bed house, 72 acres, indoor school, 2 barns and a school. I would let hubby have one barn as his "man shed", buy him an Aston Martin, a boxer puppy and a 17hh plus school master for him to plod around on. I would then have a horse box comissioned for me. Would have to be HGV as I would like to take it to Belgian and bring back some baby Rosies!!! I would also build another house on the land for us and let parents live in the 3 bed.

I have friends in SA who can supply me with zebras if I wanted to breed something a little different lol!! Oh and I would love some peacocks!

Maybe also toy with the idea of an appaloosa/arab stud and.....mmmmmmmmmm off to buy a lotto ticket :)

You don't want much then! :p

I'd want a nice house on about 20 acres - indoor and outdoor school, horse-walker, and big massive gates at the front saying 'appointments only'.

:D

I would buy myself a nice house with land & facilities for me, hubby, dog & goblet :D
Make sure my family are secure & divide the rest between a comfortable living for us & charity donations :)
Oh to dream............................ :D

i'd use it to stop the live export of horses.

sponsor kind ways of training horses, and promote education of same.

start a big centre for re-educating ex race horses, and over-see it myself.

go on holiday to recover!

I'd buy a three bed house prob cottage type.nothing ott just really nicely kept with small gardens with lots water features.
American barn with monarch front boxes 18ft square.auto water.rubber mats.outside window and door onto small bark area.large indoor isle.inside tie up away from stable doors.two big tack rooms with alarms.two rug rooms with wash dry machines. Lots of bright indoor lighting and lighting out on lead ways too. Prob 8 stables. Solarium and wash bay with warm water.clip and farrier bay.then another barn the same for liveries. 70x30 indoor with fab waxed surface, fab lights, small gallery. Outdoor with top surface 60x60 with jumps in store shed and a store for grader. Post rail and electric mains fences.liveries have two x 1acre. I'd have mine as 4x6 acre paddocks.all auto water.20 acre hay field with top surface gallops.walk ways to fields surfaced with sand same with gateways and field shelters.
Gorg 7.5t horsebox with indoor store. Hay and bedding store.large parking.trailer for muck. Erm an aston vanquished in 4 car garage.covered horse walker in oval. Would get family and friends stuff they needed like new car.etc. as one can tell I ain't thought about it much

Me,I guess I would still live in a shack, but There are one or two extremely tallented and hard working young riders I would just love to achieve what they are capable of. So I guess I would spend a big chunk on sponsorship and training.

Buy my parents house for them my brother a flat pay off my other brothers mortgage , oh yes and mine too !
Would not move house but would build new stables( old ones have had it)
And I would get someone to do the house and the garden the have lots more horse time!
It would be nice.

Ha ha...that's certainly my cup of tea... Particularly if the nearest neighbours who can drop in asking for some tea bags or a bit of sugar are at least five miles away...

Quite anti social in my old age...:D

oh the possibilities! id buy the farm i keep my horse at just now, and have it completely renovated, and build an indoor school and a gallop track, and let my horsey friends all come stay! and id buy a new saddle for my boy, and anything else he needs.

id then probably buy another horse! and a boxer puppy..

Pay off my parents bills as they have done so much for me. By a house in the village where my livery yard is as it's perfect big enough for my family and adapt it for my brother.....also buy my brother an adapted car and the driving lessons.....then buy sister and i a horse box.

Just a little list :)

Buy a nice farmhouse with some land - enough to keep my lot one plus a bit more to grow hay. No liveries - would do my nut in!! The usual, cars, lorry, employ a cleaner and gardener etc. TBH I would probably spend the winter abroad too. Would set up good friends for life - and wave the money under my family's nose and give them the finger too!!

Big house. Lovly post and rail fencing. A groom and someone.to drive my new horse box. Another couple of horses and a rescue pony. A car for the bf and a clothes shopping trip in a large saddlery xx

Easy choice today - given that I'm bent double and in agony, a total spinal transplant would be top of my list. Failing that a one-way ticket to Switzerland.
