Pony isn't the fittest she's ever been, carrying a little bit of weight, and has just been clipped (wednesday). Rider isnt exactly fit either.

Worked her for 15 mins in a bungee rein in walk & trot last night without massive results, got a bit of softness and roundedness and left it.

Worked her this morning for 30mins in it, walk and trot with 3 short canters. Got some better & more progressive work out of her as the session went on. Was happy, so left it.

She was a bit blowing when I got off. Nothing major and not over hot or clammy as if she was sweating.

Would you give her another 15-20 mins tonight before her tea or leave her?

Have an hours lesson (god help us) Wednesday & I'm trying to improve fitness levels.

Shes out on good grass, fed haylege over night (soon to be hay) and gets a couple of handfulls of Alfa A and a few hi fibre cubes at the min.

Feel a bit like a mean mummy, I'm being a bit soft TBH, but I want her fit and slimmer.

She's not overkeen on coming in ATM unless I go with a bucket so hoping some work might put some sense back into the daft fizzy mare!

Why don't you take her for a hack as you schooled her this morning? Just a 30 minute stroll to help with ther fitness levels without making her stale? Nothing wrong with working them twice a day, especially when you are on a fittening program
