So i fell off on tuesday night doing x-country and cracked a lumbar vertebrae, very smart indeed! Trouble is i have the biggest show of the year tomorrow and with all my intentions i wont be able to ride. She should be doing working hunter, is as fit as a fiddle as also should have been doing a 2 phase the day after. I reckon she would have a good chance in the big class but no-one else has rode her since i've had her and my instructor said he would (used to be a french international eventer)! Im meant to be taking her down later so he can ride her before the show, but its my precious girl, am i being an overprotective mum or are the drugs the hospital gave me making me hallucinate?! what would you do?

Let her go and then enjoy watching her - she'll be fine. I hope you feel better soon

Definitely let the instructor ride her! I rarely let people ride my horses but I always enjoy watching because I don't normally see them from that angle.
As Boater says, enjoy being the proud owner!
Also commiserations on hurting your back, hope it doesn't take too long to heal.

Thanks guys i know you's are right, it will be strange watching someone ride her, but it will be better than me trying, i'll let you know how she gets on

On a plus side too, you might actually enjoy watching someone else ride, you'll be able to appreciate how great she looks.

Hope she does well ....don't forget piccys!
