My novicey mate who bought the 2 and half year old, has just told me something im a bit worried about.

She had a row with the woman at the stables where she was keeping her horse, now the woman wont let her on the yard... fair enough.

BUt.... she also wont let her move her pony, or get her stuff, and the crazy yo has been trying to break into her house this morning, scaring her 3yr old daughter.
Has keyed her my mates car!

My friend has rung the police this morning, and they have gone with the RSPCA today to go and check that she is looking after my friends pony.

What else can you suggest??
Ive suggested the BHS membership to get free advice.

I told her to go get her pony, and stick it in her garden 4 a couple of days.

Are you joking?? It must have been one hell of a row for her to come round to her house and start frightening kids!!

Call police, Rspca and any other back up, and find somewhere elase to keep horse from tommorrow!!

Legal issues aren't my strong point, but if she owns the pony and her other items,, wouldn't have thought she can be stopped moving her pony or getting her things!
I think she should mover her pony pronto though, what a dilemma! x

er I would a) find somewhere to temp or perm move her horse to then b) go with RSPCA (minimum) or police pref support to go collect all her things and move it all a.s.a.p.

If she says about breach of contract for moving without prior notice, I am pretty sure your mate can say she is in breach of contract for her behaviour as well and she wont have a foot to stand on! (the YO not ur mate!)

Also, ensure she has reported the attempted break in or whatever to the police!

That sounds like a horrid situation! argh!

yeah thats what i thought, apparantly the woman is a nutcase, and it was a barney with her bf which set it off, as my friend was basically being bullied.

Its crazy!! told her to stick pony in her garden even 4 a night while she gets somewhere.

Sticking a horse in a garden for the night could potentially be disasterous.

I would advise her to contact local livery/equestrian centres and arrange for temporary accomodation.
I would then tell her to arrange transport and advise the police that she is going to collect her property and that there is likely to be a dispute (it might help her to take along a couple of big blokes to help)
She should then turn up and collect the horse (and tack if at all possible) however she must make sure she has enough cash on her to settle any outstanding monies owed.

So what have the RSPCA and Police done today?

I would expect the police to arrest the YO for the attempted break in and vandalism!

Has she got her pony yet?

If she doesnt owe any livery then i would go round with a couple of big blokes and demand my stuff. I would ring police and tell them in advance. Surely there is somewhere to take her pony local?
Tell your mate not to be violent as ould end up in trouble, sayin that i think I would be violent if it was my pony!!!!

I know i would've gone mental!!

Ok so the police came round and took a statement from my friend.

They have now gone off to arrest the YO, and the police are coming back tomorrow, to escort my friend to go and get all her stuff and her pony.

They have also said they can arrange somewhere to put the pony (think policemans missus has horses), as a temporary thing.

So fingers crossed she gets it sorted tomorrow!
