Just looking for opinions on the situation, and advice as to what yo uwould do in the same situation.
I ''sold'' a rug to a lady on our yard (she has what appears to be a 14+year old daughter but only looks about 20 herself!) it was a 5''9 lightweight turnout.
It was ''sold'' for £15, now I say ''sold'' because I said to her just pop the money in my freezer or my wardrobe or give it to me when you see me next, anyway I gave her a week to pay for it, probably longer than that actually. I recieved nothing so I contacted her again and said I could do with the money, and text me saying she was on her way down to the yard with it, I got down just after she had left and I know this because I saw her on route to the yard. I couldn't find the money anywhere, I put it down to me not searching properly as tack room is quite dark at times and I was rushing about. So I asked her where she had put it as couldn't find it, and recieved a reply of ''I put it where you told me too'' Which was either freezer or wardrobe. So the Wednesday I emptied everything, and by everything I mean EVERYTHING, I emptied all 3 of my freezers, all my bags, the whole wardrobe, and left nothing unturned or unshaken, and there was no money to be found. I have since sent her 3 messages via facebook as she uses this all the time and I don't have her phone number, she deleted the one on her wall, and the 2 too her inbox she has completely ignored, whereas before when we contacted via facebook her replies were instant.
I hate confrontation, so considering just taking the rug back out her freezer and awaiting a storm of abuse. There is no way she can say she left it there when only 4 people have access to that tack room and the other 2 people are very nice, polite caring people who I know well. And they wouldn't have had time to as I had only just missed her leaving. I saw her at the yard yesterday but was just leaving and had gotten a lift so couldn't hang around waiting, and she wasn't getting out of the car, but did when I left!
So angry & upset, but more so too myself because I always trust people and this is what happens, you'd think I'd learn!
