I've just noticed that the livery yard I used to be at 16 years ago and then 4 years ago has some space for diy.
Its a lot closer to home than my current yard and cheaper. The stables, menage and turnout isn't as nice and I don't get on well with one of the liveries at all (long story). The yard I'm at now is a good 25-30 min drive but the stables are fab, the menage is fab, the turnout is great and its also BHS approved.
Currently I am on 7 day assisted diy livery, which with shavings and hay comes in at about £230 a month, this other livery yard would be half the cost.
The other thing is that chester is really settled and in a routine which he loves, the problem is when I start work its going to take me about 45 mins to get to his current yard and its in the opposite direction to home, the other yard would be 10 mins from home and 10 mins from work in the direction I need to be going.

Sounds like time and money are the drivers for you.

So ask yourself - do you need to cut down on his outgoings?
and
Do you want/need more free time?

Once you know those answers you'll know whether to move or not :)

Hmm...sounds like a tough decision!
I guess you need to work out whether its more important to have good facilities or to save time and money?
Personally I'd always prefer to have the yard as close to home as possible, so I'd probably move back to the yard that's closest...but its up to you in the end :)
Hope you work it out!

I would never move to a yard where I knew I was hated by another livery- had some bad experiences there (including someone who didn't care if their actions killed my pony) and have known others who have moved ANYWHERE to get away from certain people. Just my experiences though, you have to weigh up the pros and cons and work out what is best for you and your horse :)

Personally if horse is happier I would stay at current yard. There is a reason you have left your old yard twice. You may end up wanting to leave again and yard your on now may have no spaces.

After speaking to mum and hubby we've decided to move tp the other yard.
I only left twice before due to the loans being up on the horses I had.
I rang the owner and she remembered me so mum and I are off to have a look.
Also hubby has said because I will have more time and money I could possibly get a little project coblet for me and mum to share.
Alsp he has said he will buy me a trailer as I'd need to travel to go to dressage etc. Also I'll be able to have my wonderful instructor back!
