Hi Everyone :)

There's a livery on the same yard where i keep my horse her horse is awful she kicks and bits and bucks at everything in sight horses, people, dogs buckets anything she can get to.

It's getting to the point where no one else can tie their horse up outside their stable without her horse going for them. Last night the ladys horse got loose and started wandering around the yard trying to pick a fight with the horses tied up. It was only down to me and another livery trying to catch her that stopped her from hurting anyone, the owner was no where insight. While the owner is trying to groom her horse she bucks in her face and tries to kick her and does nothing to stop her. a new horse came afew days ago and she tied her horse next to it's stable so her horse then started bucking in this new horses face all she did was move her horse.

Not only is it the horse it's her dogs..... she had no control of them they walk in front of cars when people are trying to get into the car park bark at the horses poo everywhere. the YO kindly lets dogs on as long as they are under control. My horse has her breakfast outside her stable morning and night ( she won't eat in her stable as she is bullied by the horse the other side of her ) and one of the dogs tries to bite her legs when she's eating again the owner is no where in sight.

I want to say something to the owner but don't no what to say.

What would you do ?

I think you just need to speak to this woman and let her know that you're not happy with how she acts on the yard and how little respect she seems to have for everyone else.

If she isn't co-operative then I would suggest speaking to the yard owner. Or if you don't feel like you can speak to her without her flying off the handle then you should speak to the yard owner first.

Is the yard owner aware of all that is going on? I'm surprised she hasn't had complaints from other liveries already and hasn't already spoken to her.

Its yo responsability,if it went for my horse and she was nowhere in sight I would put it in stable.I would also tie dog up if it went for my horse.

I would speak to the yard owner first, are you the only livery that is having problems if it is a few of you that are all having problems then perhaps get together and go and speak to the yard owner. Sure where the dog is concerned something can be sorted, not so sure about the horse, but its worth a chat first to see what can be done. Good luck with it, its not nice when this sort of thing happens.

We managed to back the horse in a corner while another livery went and found the owner her horse won't let any one else catch her. I honestly don't think that tying up would get a very good reaction from the owner.

there are 4 other liveries that are having problems we all hoped that she would take some action but seems blind to it all. one of the others has more guts than me so she may have a word with her about it if not i'll have to go to the yard owner.

thank you everyone :)

Wrong way round imo. I always think YO is first point of call.

If my liveries had done this I'd question whether Id want the type of livery there who would confront another owner rather than dealing with me to solve the issue amicably.

Without going into to much detail our YO is having a pretty hard time of it and if between us all of the liveries can find a way round it without involving her is probably better any other time if would be her first. I'm hoping the owner will come to her senses and find a way round it without anyone having to say anything.

If you go the owner route... Perhaps she's having a rubbish time of it etc. Reckon a calm coffee might help with a discussion, not an attack (as she may perceive it) on her? Explain what the issue is and ask her input as well as your own suggestions for solutions.

She's been having some field problems down to the horses behavior no one will share a feild.

There are some spare stables so i was planning on seeing if she could put her in there while she mucks out ? were free to use them as we please at the moment.

She also ties the leadrope really loose so her horse sticks it bum out maybe if she tied her tighter she'd not be able to get the other horses ?

What would your suggestion be ?
