Went to see a horse at a dealers and not has described as should be and has a medical problem that is quite serious being sold to a novice which wouldn't pick up this problem.

Not get involved - other than hope the buyer has it vetted, as surely this problem would be picked up then anyhow.

Unless you were there with a novice and being asked "shall I buy this horse" I don't think you can do or say anything - if you were trying the horse for yourself you can discuss with dealer your concerns and say that s why you are not buying but you may not be welcome at the dealers yard again.

Say you need time to think about it and walk away with your head held high, and move on to the next.

Even if it meant poor novice have a broken heart as well as wallet and months of despair. Yes I've been there with a horse that was vetted. It's sad for the horse as well he was really lovely but his back legs gave way in certain situation I only knew this as spotted the signs of his condition

Hopefully the novice has been advised to have the horse vetted prior to purchasing which will show up the issues.
