What would YOU feed her?

I'd feed graze on, speedibeet and Equine America V-Biotic

If her lumps flared up on that I would cut out one part at a time to see if it made any difference.

That said you may just find that she was reacting to a flush of grass growth

Thanks KVS and Ben&Jerrys.
She isn't allergic to grass, although I see where you're coming from. The GrazeOn is the same as Readygrass, I believe.
I'll look into LoCal and the Vbiotic you mention.

I would be feeding her
alfa a oil (or if she won't eat it then hifi senior even though she is 3 it's higher calorie that hi fi original),
with full fat soya (or equi-jewel or outshine but they're more expensive).
with speedi-beet (as much as she will eat!)
and a complete vit and min supplement (eg NAF general purpose)

plus as much hay/ haylage as she will eat.

my sisters horse is reallyy fussy and doesn't like nuts or cubes or mixes with lots of pellets in, but he'll eat this like there's no tomorrow. and if i don't mix it properly he'll eat all the full fat soya first!

PM me if you want more info.

Thanks, Jenhunt.
She's already on a mixture of hay and haylage, adlib. I daren't feed her as much Speedibeet as she'll eat as she is already voluptuous enough.

I'll look into your other suggestions, though.

hmmmm nice ok then try badminton hi fibre nuggets, either whole or soaked, they are big chunky things and horse's love'em!!

Speedi-beet shouldn't affect her behaviour (unless she is really really sensitive to sugar), and shouldn't make her put on much weight as it is fairly low cal - just the fibre will help her feel full, and help keep her hydrated if you're working her hard (e.g. hunting).

Full fat soya is not widely available, tho it is getting better. speak to Nikki at www.a-one.co.uk she's really helpful, and I used to work with her. tel 01423 322706.
