What would you feed this mare *PICS*

Hate to agree but she does look a bit foaley :o
If she isn't in foal I would say she isn't too thin but she needs to tone up. Which will come with exercise and time, she is only a baby after all!

The mare will wait til you least expect it in my experience then pop the baby!!!! :D
You will see her "bagging up" I.e her udders filling up.
A sure sign of pretty imminent foaling is when the udders produce a wax like substance, literally like candle wax. You will also see her back end slackening off and the muscles going like Jelly.
Foaling in itself is pretty quick but once the mare has foaled you need to make sure the whole of the sack covering the foal and all of the afterbirth has come out otherwise she could end up with an infection in her uteris. Its the most beautiful job of the lot ;) hehe!
