Sounds like my horse, he throws his toys out and reverses around the arena! Let the comment wash over you and keep at it!

My section D used to get herself in a tiz practically every lesson (she'l still plant herself or be a pain sometimes now, but im better at owrking through it) and my instructor told me to do exactly the same for most situations, works a treat
I dont seeaythng wrong with it, and agree the YO sounds like she was trying to stir.
If it was the first time the other livery had seen this method, i suppose they may be concerned, when i first saw my instructor handling situations with horses, and gettign them to tort tiny tiny circles, i was a bit unsure- but then you would see an imediate result as soon as they came out of it
