I would love to know more of my boys history, I have a contact number for his old rider, would you be annoyed or happy to hear from new owners? I have no idea if my dad spoke to her when buying, I was very much out of the loop.
??
And any sensible questions to ask? It is not due to any current problems I would just like to know more!
 
I contacted my horses old owners and they were very happy to hear how my horse was getting on, she also gave me a bit of history which explained a few things and why she can be a bit nappy.

I still keep in touch and send the odd photos.
 
I help out on the original Horse Tracing website and I can assure you that old owners usually are delighted to hear from new owners.
 
I agree, you should contact them. You've got nothing to lose, if they tell you to b***er off then at least you tried

!! I still have regular contact with my boys previous owner and I've owned him for 3yrs, we get on really well and meet up at events!!

WellI rang and a had a chat with both his old rider and old owner which was lovely and she said she'd been thinking about him so that's good and I'm off to email her some photos now
 
Thumper's breeders were delighted to hear from me after I bought him.

I sent them photo's etc. They told me a bit about him as well, and were generally thrilled to be back in touch with him.
