What yard boots do you all wear particularly in the summer?

My Ariat H20 boots are on their last legs with holes in so when I walk through any puddle I get soggy feet! I’ve had them for about 10 years and they are soooo comfy!
I was thinking of getting the H20 telluride but wondered what you all wear or would recommend?

Mountain horse classic short boots or my dublin country boots mainly to do chores and I just change into my riding boots when I ride as I wear the same riding boots winter and summer which are Mountain horse Aurora.

Mountain horse classic short boots or my dublin country boots mainly to do chores and I just change into my riding boots when I ride as I wear the same riding boots winter and summer which are Mountain horse Aurora.

Country boots (currently Ariat Windermere) or waterproof trainers so I don't get soggy feet from morning dew! Current trainers are skechers selmen.

Telluride or Terrains, I have both and alternate between them around the yard and fields in the summer. If doing bramble stuff etc, I pop on a pair of very elderly half chaps to protect lower legs.
I swap to Bromonts or jodh boots and gaiters to ride.

Woof wear mucker boots for mucking out the stables/poo picking year round and to wear in the field if very wet. Asics goretex trainers for everything else. Though as I was trimming feet this morning I did think that I *ought* to be wearing something rather more protective than trainers ?. They are so darn comfy and breathable, though.

I do have Ariat Devon nitro zip short boots in both black and brown, but I tend to use them with half chaps just for riding.

I wear the Dublin river boot type boots all year round. Currently I'm using Harry Hall ones, but have also had Ariat Windermeres and Toggi Canyons. My feet never get too hot, and I can wade into the pond to catch my naughty mare without having to think about what's on my feet

I used to try woofwear short yard boots, but after 12 months the velcro stopped attaching and would come loose. They were really comfy compared to others, then they changed designs and new reviews are not so good.

Prefer velcro flaps for quick on and off! Non brand cheap velcro yard boots are not comfy and require expensive insoles to make them wearable.

Now i wear trekking boots - handle wet and mud, have grip, comfy, ankle protection and sole are strong enough for digging in too, stony paths etc. Only complaint, during really hot spells, they can be abit too warm.

These look nice! I used to have some long Mountain Horse boots

The Aurora boots are lovely to ride in i only really buy mountain horse now tried others and find they suit me best.

The classic short boots I have had years and when I broke my ankle and had surgery on it they were the only things I could wear for ages, it was so swollen and painful and they were the only footwear I could walk in for any length of time I literally lived in them for months.

I bought Dublin short boots last summer and they were superb, so will wear those again, although lately I've been wearing my Scarpa walking boots, so might continue with those, as they're great to ride in!

I wear waterproof walking shoes in the summer bought off a secret sale website like Sport Pursuit or Private Sport Shop. Think the current ones are Karrimor
I always change to ride anyway, winter and summer, and I just find these supportive enough & waterproof enough for summer, without being too hot or heavy

Goretex waterproof walking boots - I've just got a replacement pair of Asolos ... the previous ones lasted 21 years! Not slippy in the mud, protect your toes, you can hose them off and if you need to get off out hacking they're super comfortable

Goretex walking trainers in winter and lightweight ventilated trainers in the summer. I change into riding boots for riding.

I used to live in my Ariat Devon Pros but it definitely does them no favours to muck out in them.

Ariat Tellurides. I prefer riding in them for long hacks as they’re more comfortable than long boots and I find them easier to mount in as often have to dismount for gates, I find long boots are harder to bend my knees in. . Also better to walk in. I’ve got Bromonts for schooling / lessons.

I love my ariat tellurides but I’m on my 3rd pair in 3 years I wear mine in winter as well and they get trashed the leather splits badly despite cleaning them etc these are my old ones didn’t last a year

Country boots or mountain horse classic short boots. I have skinny lower legs though so dislike the look of me in clumpy short boots… I feel like some sort of sparrow.

Obviously I wouldn't dream of riding in crocs - ever...



PS - Don't try this at home kids...My setup is such that I don't have to go into the fields to feed/hay, so my feet are safe. I wear sensible footwear I'm handling horses

I wear the wellies, but the tops turned or folded down in the summer..... as they cooler & for ease of movement.......
