Whats everyone else up too?

Thanks In Advance :D xx Hope everyone has a good weekend :p x

Riding out with a fellow HHO member who I met on here at 10.30 tomorrow am. Staying in tomorrow night which will be great as I work mon-fri evenings so nice to stay home. May practise my walk trot dressage tests at some point in preparation for weekend after. Will be my first time out with my mare since she tore her DDFT tendon last year so we are going back to basics - shes very spooky so thought it would be best to start off simply by doing and walk and trot, and take it from there.

I haven't got anything special planned, although I have got quite a few jobs to do at home - some paperwork, lots of poo-picking, buckets to scrub, prep the car for it's MOT, bath the rather mucky horse and then might pop to the saddlers to see if there is anything on offer (although I shoudn't really)!

Tomorrow, swapping grazing round and maybe finish the final bit of painting on the yard.

Got to help kids get the pony ready tomorrow for their show on sunday at some point and do a mock show with them...then plan on riding my boy for the first time in what seems like ages properly! And might jump him if our flatwork's ok :)

Sunday, got to be up early to judge at a show near by. Have to actually look....*whispers* Smart.....

*shudder*

LOL ;)

Izzwizz - Awwww its nice to meet people on here. Good Luck with your dressage and so glad your mares tendon is better now. Its good to start simple and work up. x

Happihorse - Sounds as if your gonna be a busy bee. You know you really want to go to saddlers lol. Bet you will come home with something hehe x

Binky - Hehe you do make me laugh. Good Luck with your show sunday. I hate moving electric fencing when ground is rock hard as posts wont go in grrrrr hehe. Have fun jumping and Good Luck x

No electric fencing luckily! Just got to swap them into different fields. On the provado of catching them all haha.

Thanks! :D

Yes Ive made a new friend all because she wanted a Farrier recommending!! Needless to say she now uses mine. We've met a couple of times and shes been for coffee and we have met eachothers horses. Lovely lady and a new friend.

Tomorrow - Ride first thing, turn pony out, do a big muck out of her bed so it's all clean, bring her in and bath her, and leave her in for the night.

Sunday - Biggest show of the season for us - WPCS Show, so a nod from the judges at this one means a lot more to me than the other shows!

Thanking you. Im still worried about her breaking again but shes done so well and we stuck to the rehab plan like glue. Seems to have done the trick (so far)! Just hope she isnt too spooky at stressage, silly old mare ought to know better at 15!!!!! x

Fihunt - Another busy bee this weekend. I can see a very busy person Saturday evening cleaning her tack like mad. Well Good Luck and hope you Win! Let us know how it all goes. Have fun x

Lauren - Awww i remember my first show i was nearly wetting myself and nearly being sick (ewwww :o) You'll be fine just relax and have fun. x

I don't blame you even if me horse goes lame and when they come back into work i am constantly looking down when riding to make sure they haven't gone lame again or i am constantly asking the person im riding with. Like you said you stuck to the plan like glue and thats all you can do. Awww bless her i swear the older they get the more silly they get. My boy was never spooky when i first got him. He is now 15, 16 in December and is now spookier than my TB sometimes lol. Oh well. The main thing is to have fun and enjoy yourself x

Daft thing with her is shes rock solid on the roads and doesnt mind the biggest and nastiest of lorries going past her! In the school and away from home she looks at everything and anything. Its a shame as shes Hanoverian/TB and has beautiful paces when shes not lame haha, or spooking. Im really looking forward to going and am expecting nothing atall to come from the day with regards to results. Think I will lace her breki with Vodka on the day, could work - couldnt it? Now did I say that - nah!!

Horses are funny animals and never make our life easy!! :p When i first had my boy down the livery he was a nightmare to school as he was always so more interested in the horses in the field so would never concentrate so was always tripping!! Silly Boy!! Awwww i bet she is beautiful. I think the mane part of going to a show is taking part and just getting your horse out and then if you get placed it is a bonus :D. Yep i think it could work lol. xx

Tomorrow I'm taking my dog to a show, mainly for a bit of fun and to watch the sj competition. Then on sunday I'm going to another local show to watch my horse, who's on loan atm, competing in the sj (I'll be taking a banner with me that says "go toby!!") :)

well today we went to an utterly useless dressage clinic (I'm fuming!), so tomorrow Brego gets a rest, bath and trim, before combined training on Sunday. I don't know if you have that in the UK, it's dressage in the morning, then combined xc and sj in the afternoon :)

Well im off to bed now guys as got to get up at 5am so i think i might be tired by tomorrow evening lol :p.

Keep your posts coming and i will check and reply tomorrow. Good Night xx

Sleep well, dont envy you up at 5am. At least its light at that time - for now.

Awwww :(What happened, Why it useless?? Sounds great fun Sunday. We have combined XC, SJ or dressage but i know that around my area we don't have Dressage, XC and SJ sounds brilliant. Brego will like his day off being pampered. Hope you have fun Sunday and is better than today. x

(If i don't reply now i will reply tomorrow)

I'll be at the riding school on Sunday again, giving them a helping hand....been there quite a bit recently, as they are short-staffed.

They are really struggling to find someone to fill this position. They pay a fair wage as far as I'm aware...makes me wonder where all the horsey students are, who have just finished college or looking for a bit of part-time work and experience!

I've had to be careful, I could help out much more, but I DO have actual school work to do next week! :P

Tomorrow will find me riding, of course!

I'm going to be very busy and very tired! All day tomorrow I will be getting my coloured Rox bathed and ready for the USOC show at Yorkshire Showground on Sunday.

Sunday I will need to be at the yard for 4:30 a.m. to get him ready, and set off by 6:30 a.m. for the show for a 2 hour plus journey to Harrogate! Finally when I get home, I will have Rox to sort and my bay Sammi.

Then home to get bathed and ready to go to a wedding evening do little under an hours drive away! I am going to be shattered! xx :)
