What you think of this horse? Know of his dealer in Lincs?

Hi all,

Have spotted this horse. What do you think of him? I'd want him for hacking alone and little bit of schooling. I'm quite nervous I suppose, so I think he looks like the type to give confidence. Also, I may talk my hubby into learning to ride one day (fingers crossed) and he may do that job too.

Also, does anyone know of his dealer - a Mrs Veronica Gillingham. Have spoken to her and she sounds very straight, but of course, you never know. Its a heck of a long drive for me to view, so was wondering if anyone knew her - good or bad. PM if you'd rather. many thanks.

He stunning, but looks like he may be very strong - I really like him, wonder if hes suitable for a novice though as he looks like he has a bit of spirit. -possibly more a mans horse?

I think he looks a nice type. I would say definitely worth a look and take someone more experienced. I wouldn't say no!!

He was 'sold - subject to vetting' - I would assume the sale fell through BECAUSE he failed the vetting!

the vet doesn't have to tell the seller, it's between him and the people making the purchase. So they may not know

They are situated on the Lincs/Leics border hence the confusion in the ad. They did run a riding school, not sure whether they still do but the Gillinghams have been there for years! One of my old school friends was one of the instructors there. They always have the odd one for sale and seem like decent enough people. Perhaps worth giving them another call to find out why the sale fell through? He looks like a nice enough chap from the photos and they have nice facilities in which to try him (or at least they used to). Good luck with your search!!

He looks a real good sort, very smart and upstanding, ads says he's sensible but do not say he's quiet. Have had a fair bit of experience of this type of horse and some can be very strong, they can also take the upper hand if they get the idea that you are nervous. Good luck.

Thanks elderlycoupleindevon as well. I had a little niggle in the back of my mind that he could be strong/cheeky/take the upper hand if allowed.
I wish I could spot a horse more locally to me! Why are the ones you like th look of always at the other end of the country!

I agree looks strong, the only way to tell is to ride him ask if he has been driven also. Nice looking sort though i am biased,

Lovely Horse. I agree with other people he does look slightly strong but i would definately go and view him. x
