What your predictions for the future of horse sport

My predictions is that the horse are going to get very expensive to keep because of for the lack of land. I think supplements will be banned from competition . I also think there will be less equestrians and very little yard around because of housing market .

On the continent there are a lot more big competition centres - will this be our future? Big competition centres and professional riders.....
There are already a lot less local jumping shows and gymkhanas than there were 40 years ago.
A lot less quiet roads to hack on.
A lot more people have arenas.
I keep reading that more people are riding these days but I actually see less people riding out than I used to.
Hunting will pretty much be ended , the good old Irish bred with a 5th leg will be replaced by a continental bred with flashy paces and exhberant jump.
To sum up I think the whole horsey scene will become a lot less fun.

Going by what I see at shows there are very few under 40's competing in all but very low level showjumping so think it might be the loss of the young that scuppers horses in sport. I too think it might just become elitist as costs rise
