whats a realistic, price?

follow up from earlier post, 16.2hh irish T.B. bay gelding, 9yo dream easy ride, super dressage 70%+ unaffiliated, done 3 pre novice this year finishing 7th double clear at last event, the ultimate allrounder really, 9inches of bone. 100% everyway, how much do you think he is worth please?

7 -8k?

I sold something similar 3 years ago for £5200.

he was in the lead after the dressage, but had 3 poles down, due to getting to close (prob slight rider error). clear X.C.

Around what you suggested really, and he really is fab, vry loathed to sell him but cant really afford to compete 2 next year, and as he is older seems to make more sense, trouble is he has never put foot wrong and i love him!! lol

To give you an idea I just sold my horse for £6000 brief summary is:
7YO ISH 15.1.
30 BD points.
Clear Pre nov/intro BE.
Placings county wh/shp.
Done unaffil SJ & hunted.

To get £7-8k, you'll need better results SJ I would think. Was the 3 down just a one off or is it what he usually jumps?

Would he hunt? You might get a decent price for him as a hunter if he is sensible.

Bit of a one off, his s.j. has been his weeaker phase, but is improving as from his last results. His dressage is tops, would do well B.D. as is nice calm horse. He has hunted in past, not with me, im sure he would be fab. he is snaffle mouth all phases.
