vets offers and advertises a out of hours service. They also charge out of hours prices.
In my opinion is just not good enough.
They offer out of hours - not immediate attention. Surely out of hours means there will be someone to attend to you at a convenient time. Animals are never convenient.
As everyone else has said, they can only be in one place at a time. If the practice does not have a 2nd on call, then unless the 1st on call can get hold of another Vet, who is willing to come out, then I'm afraid you'll have to wait. You cannot have an infinite number of vets standing by just in case. Off duty vets have a right to time off, as someone else mentioned.
