I have just returned from the tack shop, which to my delight had a 50% off Musto sale!!

I got a base layer for hunting- £15, a gorgeous coat for £40 and a pair of ultimate snug jods for £32.50 (I have never seen these reduced ever!). Very happy Twizzel, who should hopefully be very warm this winter!

So, what's been your best horsey bargain??
 
I'm not sure if this is illegal...

I bought a few things from DH, and when delivered it hadn't charged me for it! When I checked online, they hadn't actually put a price on the top in my size, it was down as "Cost... 0.00" so, i don't know. It doesn't fit very well, so I want to return it anyway, but it seems like a waste of P&P!

I got a Musto Snug blouson jacket for £70 down from £100. And I get 10% off in Holmestead as long as it's not already on sale

Oh, a kingsland top £100 - £40!


I'm always wary of cheap rugs because it's invariable due to a cheap denier which just gets destroyed after a week, or sandpapers the hair off my horses shoulders. £10 is still good though!
 
A Weatherbeeta dog rug for £4 which i thought would fit my dobbi we rescue from Woodgreen animal shelter but it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to big so i ended up sending it to the Woodgreen field section and they use it on an eldery goat

Leather Lunge cavesson - think we got it for under £20! Always put off buying one as they're usually ridiculously expensive or crap leather

When I find lovely cheap things in tack shops, they tend to either be the wrong colour

Was looking at some very snazzy leather tendon boots when I went to get my new long boots but they were brown not black!

I had an Ariat coat, Ariat reversible gilet, Ariat Polo shirt and Toggi fleece for £57.

Also 2 x Hac Tac Polos, 2 x Totti Polos and a pair of Hac Tac checked breeches for £52 in local saddlery - the breeches were half price and then half price again (1/4 price?) and the Polos half price and then 2 for the price of 1. Bargains!
 
Mine has got to be a brand new Prestige Paris K saddle for £995, RRP is over £2000! Bargain.
Also bought 2 rugs from a company who sent the wrong size, and when I contacted them, they refunded me but never sent a courier to collect said rugs! Sold them to a friend, at a discounted rate!
 
Sort of a bargain.......

Bought a new Weatherbeeta turnout with neck last year, the zip holding the neck on broke. I knew the tack shop people quite well so just dropped in to ask if they's had any problems with them. Apparently it was a known fault and Weatherbeeta were refunding for them - without asking for the faulty rug returning!!

Not exactly from a tack shop, but my Barnsby APS dressage saddle £1200 new, I got mine for £500 it was an ex demo and looked as if it had never been used!

Also a full set of travel boots from Tesco, £2.95 for the set, that was 2 years ago and they are still going strong!!
 
I bought a Joules gillet in cerise half price earlier this summer (just thinking of getting it out to use now) from Countrywide
Also a lovely pair of unbranded English real leather brown half chaps for £20 (that was in Centell Saddlery in Reading). Bag has no details such was website of manufacturer, just a real leather symbol and made in UK. Think they might have been quite old stock hence the bargain price, but am very pleased with them, may go get a black pair just in case I ever get black boots! Oh and bought T's friend a crop of the right length and colour she wanted for her birthday, found in the bargain bin at the tack stall at a show for under £5, we also have a Tescos one which was cheap.
 
Ohh, Ariat Monaco short boots, £98 (down from £198). Saxon fleece-lined short boots, £29 (down from £109). Musto fancy-schmancy hi-tech chaps, £29 (down from £79 or so). I've been really lucky with footwear this year!
