What's best for mites.

Hi, I have a cob who we think has mites. She has some scabs on the back of her legs behind her knees and she also stamps her back feet and is covered in scurf. She itches the back of her legs a lot too. I am going to hibiscrub her tomorrow and was wondering what the best thing was to treat mites with? I'd appreciate any help

Mites can be confirmed by your Vet with a skin scrape by looking under a microscope. However, I seem to think there are 2 types and one burrows under the skin and isnt always picked up this way, not 100% sure. Dectomax injections can kill them, Frontline spray too. Hibiscrub wont kill them. Dermoline do a shampoo for lice and there is another product called Deosect which does that too. Your Vet will be able to help you further.
