Buying a horse under 1000.00 with no tack, or a horse worth 1600.00 with all tack included?

It is not unheard of for selers to throw in any old tack when selling. That way they get to sell a load of old useless junk and the horse!

I have never had a fitting saddle come with a horse!

personally id just buy the horse as 9 times out of 10 its tack will be naff and wont fit properly so you end up buying new anyway

I would buy without the tack, it is usually crappy stuff that doesn't fit well and probably seen better days. get yourself good stuff that you know fits and you like yourself.

I love horse shopping, and like to choose my own tack.

depends on quality of tack, wether it fits, what they mean by tack (literally any old saddle or bridle or tack, rugs, maybe a numnah or boots etc)

never bought a horse so dont have any personal experience.

If the tack fits and it is a difficult horse to get a saddle to fit it might be worth it, it depends on the quality of the tack and the amount.
