Just wondered whether it's a good magazine, I was thinking of subscribing to it on the internet because nowhere near me seems to stock it!
What's Eventing Magazine like?

Personally think it has gone down hill a bit and about to cancel my subscription. Most of the event reports appear to be duplicates of the H&H ones. I also prefer the masterclass training series in Horse as they use ordinary horseowners and I can related to that.

I love it, it's like the Bible for me.
I don't think it's value for money though but I'd still rather subscribe to it than H&H.

Find it a bit boring as all the reports are of the 'names' or professionals.
Personally, if 5 Novice classes were run in a day and 3 were won by weekend riders, I'd rather hear about those then the 2 that were won by Oli Townend or someone else at the top end of the sport.
And same with the photos.
Just feel the magazine is there to promote the riders that compete for a living and doesn't merit the effort it takes for people that have a job not relating to horses, to win a class.
Also, subscription seemed to go up every 5 mins when I subscribed and I got really annoyed at the letters they sent which basically said 'as you are 'enjoying' a better quality magazine with more content, we're putting the price up'! Well actually, I wasn't enjoying it, so I took the only route out and cancelled.
