What's everyone's number 1 choice for winter turnouts and stable rugs this year?

I have a very small rug collection but all bar one they are Weatherbeeta, he came with a combo one, I then bought him the Rug Sac they did which was a matching turnout, stable rug and fleece (fab idea and bargain at less than £100 for the sac, shame they don't sell them anymore), since then he's had one more lightweight 2 years ago and one med lite (Robinson's sale 2 weeks ago!) W'beeta bought for him and the only other different rug he has is a Masta medium weight which I don't think fits him that well but is OK.
 
The only rugs that fitted my horse were the expensive Rambos with the V-shaped front fastenings - so she ended up with a Duo with a handful of liners and a lightweight (no fill) Supreme (which cost a FORTUNE!). Even the slightly cheaper Rhinos didn't fit (looked like a mini-skirt :p )

Luckily for my mum, I bought them all a couple of years ago and then she got them all when I gave her the horse. Alright for some..! :D
 
Ish mare: Rambo Duo turnout...might even get to use a liner this year if she is clipped (she has escaped this every year due to injuries and she is injured at the minute!) Stable rug is her purple plaid weatherbeeta..can't remember the name.

Fat cob: When he is fully clipped he'll get a rainsheet and possibly a lightweight if I'm feeling really nice. Stable rug is a Bucas Celtic with maybe a fleece under but it gets quite warm in the indoor block and he has plenty of fat to insulate :)
 
I have farrrrrrrrrrr too many rugs and slowly taking over my parent’s house when they are not in use!

TB 1.
1x Fal Saracen (I think) lightweight stable. Awesome and pink!
1x Fal Tasker stable.
1x Fal Goldolphin combo stable rug.
1x Weatherbeeta Landa Lightweight Combo. Worst rug I have ever bought and will never buy a Landa again. TB 2 did have a matching one but she trashed it! Will be getting Ameigo’s next year hopefully.
1x Fal Bulldog combo (200g)
1x Viking combo (400g with silver interactive) LOVE this rug!

TB 2.
1x Fal Saracen (I think) lightweight stable to match TB 1.
1x Fal Tasker stable so she matches TB 1.
1x Fal Saracen heavyweight bought off of ebay as she had trashed her other heavyweight stable rug. On the lookout for a Godolphin for her. :)
No lightweight turnout at the moment :’(

1x Old Weaterbeeta Aspen. My 1st ever rug bought for TB 1 but hopefully will replace the rug with a Viking soon as think after 11 years it is finally dead :(

Pony 1.
1x Masta Lightweight stable. Nice blue and pink check but one of the surc has fallen off and he is very good with his rugs so not too happy.
1x Fal Saracen Mediumweight with half neck.
Spoilt pony gets a Fal Goldphin Combo.
1x ancient Weatherbeeta Lightweight sheet.
1x Mark Todd Mediumweight with neck cover. But have to have legs straps and surcs repaired every year! Hopefully will replace soon and most probs with a Fal Bulldog.
1x Rambo Wug in the original purple colour  Although it seems a little short on his bum when he grazes so will have to replace. Thinking of replacing with a Shires Stormcheeta or probs another Fal! Bit of a Fal addict!

Pony 2.
1x Masta Lightweight stable. Nice blue and pink check.
1x Fal Saracen Mediumweight with half neck.
No heavyweight stable at the moment as she is a fat little pony and I just normally add a little fleece under her Fal if it is cold. Would love to buy her a little Rhino Pony Wug though!

1x £24 mediumweight Combo from Robinsons.
1x £34 heavyweight turnout combo from Robinsons.

I was trying to be sensible as he wouldn’t fit them next year! But was surprised how nice they were and the quality :)

Then have a total mixture of fleeces, waffle coolers, thicker fleeces for winter, bibs and rugs I keep telling myself I will sell but never have as it is good to have spare rugs just in case! Although I doubt I will buy Mark Todd again as they don’t fit so well and seem to fall apart easily esp the clips at the front. Some of my Fals I have had for several years now and they just wash up so well. I haven’t been disappointed yet and as my guys (apart from Foaly) are now in their golden years I wanted to treat them. Plus it is such a rush getting such a good bargain in the sales! Most of my rugs have been bought in sales. The Godolphin for the pony I paid £80 and it was brand new :)
 
Horseware. Well worth the money and the only rug to come through a Winter with my mare without being trashed :rolleyes: :D.

Stable rugs are Weatherbeeta :D.

Quality every time as it will outlast the faddy and cheaper makes. False economy and I've learned from that mistake now :).

Flash_28; you have a problem. That is 24 (I think) rugs for four animals! :D :D. I love it :D.

Ha ha! Thanks Tinker_Belle! I think it is safe to say that I have a bit of a rug buying issue! This is before I start on the ponies Bijou fleeces and coolers and what not!

I will do! Think I need to make some room! I still have a lot of spares that I have now replaced with Fal rugs. Can think of 3 Mark Todd Mediumweight stables just off the top of my head!
 
I love Horseware (rambo, rhino and amigo) and Bucas smartex. :)

Weatherbeeta taka and Shires stormcheeta are good but I have had trouble with Masta and Premier equine leaking.
 
All my rugs are fal lost count how many half of them i wont let him wear incase he gets them dirty i buy the new season every year im mad and potless stoney broke
 
I now swear by Ruggles rugs - half the price of Rambo rugs and twice the quality. Mega thick, brill straps and buckels AND survived 2 winters on the rug rippers !

Am not surprised tbh...i shelled out £400 on that silver lined bollox 3 yrs ago,first massive downpour we had my poor boy was wet through!!Customer service was shite,it went back and i bought a rambo(and that was after yrs of buying fal :( )
Now buying premier equine stuff,only heavyweight i have found with 450gr weight :)
 
mine also have same rugs as last 3 yrs- mixture.
in fact pig has the same rug now as she did when she was 5!!!!!! (shes 20). shes never ripped a rug ever.
although i love PE rugs so if they need more thats what i will buy!
 
Love the Mark Todd turnouts. Have 2 TB's and one of them has a wide chest and the MT rugs are the only ones that dont rub him. Love the front buckles, shame they dont do the same style in stable rugs.
They have the light, medium and heavy ones each.
Have a selection of WB Taka's a Wug, Wug plus, Masta meduim and a WB medium and 3 WB landa's in the back up team.

Stable rugs, Fal Godolphin x2 that i must have had for 15 years and wash like new every year, WB Belmont, Derby House HW combo that did very well last year (needed a bigger size than usual), WB under-rugs/duvets, vast selelction of fleeces and sheets
 
Stable rugs:
Mark Todd 250g had 7 years
Mark Tood 100g had 5 years
Masta fleece 6 years
Thermatex 7 years

Turnnouts:
Well he had a MT 250g which is the best turnout that has fitted him, but it got nicked. Also was in great condition at 5 years old.
Loveson 180g x 2 have seen him through one winter so far. Ones of the straps has broken though.
Ordered a Weathabeeta combo earlier in the year for this winter, lets see how it stands up to Mark Todd rugs.
 
my pony already ha most of his rugs just need to get a new stable rug 200g-250g any ideas? preferably under £45 ? but his two winter turnouts are shires and he has a masta lightweight stable
 
I wish I could afford nice new rugs!! Have had to have last years cleaned, so he's still in his masta and weatherbeta t/o's and he has a couple of nice fleeces and a cheap saxon stable rug! feel like a right pauper now posting on this thread with all you rambo and falpro rug owners! lol!
Oh well! maybe he will get a nice new one for xmas!!
