It's been a while since I've shown in-hand (about 25 years

), and the number of unfamiliar products on the market is now awesome. I am going to be showing a bright bay WBxTB yearling filly this summer.

Have tried Canter products for mane/tail and coat (which I thought was quite nice) and Absorbine Showsheen (which I didn't think was that great), but what do others recommend?

If you feed them correctly you'll have very little to do to the coat except maybe 'buff' it up and coat sprays aren't good if you use them too often. Get the insides right and the outside will be right too!

edited because I missed a 'be' out!

Whilst I whole heartedly support what MFH_09 says, as the Tesco adverts say, "Every little helps!"

Bit like me; my skin looks healthy without makeup, but I certainly look a bit better with a little slap on!!

I like the gold label stuff - its green and smells lovely and gives a lovely shine. Its not stocked in many places near me though

I must stress, I am not looking for a product to replace a balanced diet and excellent stable management, just curious to know what's out there that can add that little bit extra.

Good feeding good grooming and some human products. they are far better then horsey ones.
Currently i use clairol shine spray and realy realy buff it up with a fluffy sheepskin mit.

I use Canter show shine stuff on his tail as it really helps with brushing knots out, keeps it unknotty for longer and the mud doesn't stick to it so well!!

I don't use it anywhere else though.

I've tried quite a few, from memory the NAF one is ok, Canter is fab, and the Hunter one is rubbish!
