Sorry bit of a long post but I just needed to let it out. October has not been a good month for me since I lost my pony Swiz four years ago (28th) , then last October 31st I lost my boy, Bru,
My Bru.

So I wasn't looking forward to today. Two weeks ago my Tb had a bad bout of colic, my other boy Ty has just recovered from an infection and cough and this last week our youngster has been very poorly, thankfully she is on the mend now but I was so scared that I was going to lose her as well. But even worse still on Monday my Nan passed away, very suddenly ,every thing is going wrong, sorry to go on but I have no one else to tell.

Thanks for listening xx

how awful for you. Just hang in there hun and you will get through it. I'm so sorry to hear about your nan and your worries with your boys. Sending you lots of hugs {{{ }}}

Hope things start improving soon. x xx x x x

Poor you, you look like you had a wonderful relationship with Bru, he must have had a great life with you which will be something you'll be happy about in time. These things do seem to all happen at once, but chin up & things will get better soon.

Aww poor you. I am so sorry to hear about your Nan, sounds like your having a pretty rough time lately.

Only a few more hours to go and October will be over, and hopefully a new month will bring you some better luck xx

October/November used to be a similar situation for me, it got to the point that I would dread the end of the summer as I would be so scared of what would happen next. I had lovely things happen like Sovereign fractured his ulna on 25/10, then exactly two years later he was PTS with intestinal cancer, I had a couple of road accident in october, my mum had a bad road accident in an october, my gran diagnosed with lung cancer, Fox fractured his pedal bone, I got made redundant - twice, I had a few operations that didn't go well, my brother had a brain tumour etc etc. The list was endless and it always seemed to happen at the same time of year.

The only way you can look at it is that these things would probably have happened at some point anyway and that everything in life happens for a reason. Yes it sucks when you are going through it, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. With everything you have been through, you are going to be such a strong person because no matter how tough it is, you keep going and have already proved you can cope with whatever life throws at you.

Keep smiling, be brave - it will get better! I still have bad things happen at this time of year - this year Beemer fractured his splint bone so we have had to forget our plans to get him to the winter Nationals, but that sort of thing just makes me all the more determined to make the best out of life and work harder to get to where I really want to be. Big hugs xxx

I really feel for you, all I can say is that things will get better (as I have been told) as going through a crap patch too! Fingers crossed for your youngster too, things can only get better!

Sorry to hear you're going through a bad time at the moment. Must seem personal and jinxed with October but you're not alone. My horse had a serious fracture in October 6 years and he went against everything the vets said, that I'd have to have him PTS. But he survived and came 100% sound. Last October I got dumped for someon else by text and that was crap too. Trouble with October it is the start of dark miserable days which highlights things if you're going through a tough emotional time.
Sending you lots of good wishes. Things will get better in time. Try and focus on little things that make you smile. I did and they'll help you get through the darker times.
