Hiya, was looking to see how redmone and her daughter were doing with Dolly, and cant find any of her threads or her profile?? Does anybody know where shes gone??

You're right, I had a pm from her, clicked on her statistics, and then when I clicked to find her posts there was no match. I guess that means the account is deleted. How wierd, I thought it was going well for them.

Well, I looked at my stats because I've posted on her threads a couple of times and I can't even find the threads. I hope they're OK, if anyone knows what's happening it would be nice to know, as so many people have tried to give moral support.

I know the only trace of her is when shes been quoted! And her name is in red, and you cant click onto to look at her profile. She was posting up untill a few days ago so happened recently!!!

Its really odd, ive managed to find her profile now. It says her last activity was at half 9 this evening. But when you go on her statistics it says 'no matches please search again'. And all here posts and threads have diappeared. Maybe its a site glitich and she hasnt disappeared and will be back soon with her stories!! :D!!

Im glad all is going well hopefully shell see this soon and tell us all shes still here after all!! :)

She went quiet last weekend for a while, and then popped up. They have quite busy weekends... I'm sure she's fine.

Oh yer, i just thought it was odd that her profile and posts ect. disappeared. But the you can now view the profile just not the posts/threads. Thats why maybe i thought i site glitch. As its the weekend im sure well get another "Dolly" soon hopefully a good one! :D

I think she had some trouble someone from the RS saw her posts on here (or more likely the comments from people saying that it was doing them no favours) or something along those lines so she's going to steer clear of HHO for now.
Dolly is doing fine though :D

Oh ok, im glad there doing well and everbody is ok. Thankyou. x

Seems strange if its because someone from the RS saw the posts as Redmone has always spoken highly of them and said how much they were helping her daughter and Dolly

If you speak to her KH can you send our best wishes please? Thanks :D

I will do :)
I think it wasn't so much redmone, but more the people saying that the RS were doing her no favours ad taking the mickey etc and perhaps a few harmless comments - I always thought they seemed to be doing a lot to help them out IMO they seemed very helpful! - you know how careful you have to be!

That's a shame. I was one of those that suggested that she take Dolly off working livery but Redmone always answered that she was happy with her on WL. As Redmone was always so positive about the RS, I do think that it was a bit unfair that she is having to stop posting on here. Oh well.

Good luck Redmone, I'm glad that it is going well with Dolly. :D

Will miss hearing from Redmone, no doubt she will still check the forum every now and then, so if you are reading this Redmone, don't give up with Dolly, you and daughter are a fab team :D Will miss the updates!

I am pleased redmone and her daughter are doing well, and happy! IMHO (very!) I actually feel, out of all the posts that Redmone has contributed to, and been very positive about her RS, THIS is the one that could reflect worse on them. I cannot see why having chats over coffee with your "virtual" friends, seeking advice, and listening to different, and differences of, opinions should be regarded in any way different to doing it in RL. I am bu****d if I'd accept my riding school "suggesting" I didn't - in effect, choosing my friends. :(

Hello everyone,

I was absolutely gob-smacked when I saw this thread!!!!!

Thank you so much for your comments, and your concern. I can't believe you all care so much. I really appreciate it.

Honestly, I really don't want to go into my recent problems, apart from to say once again that we absolutely love our riding school and that I believe we are very lucky to have their support and help. We wouldn't have the wonderful Dolly if it wasn't for them! And the wealth of experience and advice they give us is amazing.

And on to the most important issue!! Dolly!!! (and daughter of course!)

Things are going very well.

We're sticking to "the plan" with steady lessons on Dolly (slightly more advanced lesson on more predictable RS ponies) and taking things slowly. Dolly has been very well behaved recently. RS have been helping smooth out the canter problems. And the plan is lots of private lessons in school holidays.

Daughter seems to be gaining confidence very quickly and is being much firmer with Dolly. We took her into the indoor school on Tuesday (weather stopped anything else, if I remember rightly) and just walked her around in hand for a while. Then daughter had a really good ride on her. Still had a few problems getting her to "go" without other ponies, but daughter had a couple of friends in on their ponies, so she tagged along behind them when it was a problem. I'm really trying to avoid situations that might dent either of their confidence at the moment.

One thing that really surprised me this weekend, is how much bigger daughter looked on Dolly. Don't know if daughter has had a growth spurt (I didn't know about!!) or perhaps it's because Dolly has slimmed down quite a bit (we've gone from being on final girth hole on both sides to up to 3rd or 4th hole on both sides now) but they look so much better together. Dolly doesn't look as much of a handful for her now (I know looks can be deceiving though!!!).

Daughter also looks completely relaxed and happy whilst riding her (the stress and anxiety seems to have gone from her completely!!) when she was told to give her a long rein this weekend, daughter just sat there holding the buckle!!! (I was having kittens of course, but she was relaxed enough!!)

So all in all, at the moment, things are great!!!!

Again, BIG BIG thanks for your concern. I'm sorry I dropped off the map for a while! I do have my reasons.

I'm very very grateful for all of your help, advice and support. You're the BEST!!!!

Bacon butties all round!!!!!

xxxxx :D

Hi Redmone

Glad to hear all is well - I have enjoyed reading your posts about Dolly and Alice. I'm sorry that somewhere along the line it appears that someone isn't happy with you posting on here - but as someone else said, it's no different to having a chat in real life to someone other than your riding school about horsey problems.

Anyhow - glad all is well and that Alice is progressing well with Dolly and look forward to hearing a few more stories of their antics together!

Fab to know all is well :) And good that the whole RS issue has been cleared up, as you say, they have been wonderful to you, and you have always spoken very highly about them. Keep us updated with how things are going :) Sounds like everything is falling into place :D xx

Im glad to hear things are going well redome, it sounds like things are starting to click. Next summer will be her year and shell be out doing loads with her!!! And youll laugh at all the naughty things she tries on in the last few months, at the end of the day its all experience and teaching your daughter new things!!!
Hope it continues to get better and keep us updated!!!:D

Hello!!

Thanks for your good wishes!

I PROMISE I will keep updating etc... I feel my updates are payment towards all the help everyone has given me (I'll owe you all for a while I think!).

I do hope we've turned a corner - the last couple of weeks have been much better with Dolly. I feel awful that I even considered she wasn't "the one" for my daughter!

I am hoping that we'll get through winter ok (I've heard it can be a tricky time!!!) and then next spring/summer daughter will be making good progress on Dolly.

Thanks again, for everything!!

:D
