Hi Guys,

Been thinking over the weekend, and my OH said that maybe I should think about selling my saddle I have made for my last horse, as it is just sitting in my room, doing nothing.
It was made by Minster Saddlery, based in Kent, and is 100% english leather. It is VERY comfortable to ride in, and is just gorgeous!
The plan was to keep it, incase I got another TB type horse, but I really want to get rid of my debts, so seems a good idea to sell it....

It is a Narrow Black GP type saddle, although the knee rolls are slightly more forward cut so great for SJ/XC also. It is for your typical TB type - skinny, high withers etc, but when it was made, it had extra, removeable flocking put in, so as the horse builds up, the saddle won't need much doing to it to alter it. From what I can remember, it is a 17", but will have to double check. I paid £700 for this in Spring this year, and for the last 6/7 months, it has been sitting in my room, covered up. I used it all of 5/6 times!!!

So.... famous question is... how much??

I find that Minster saddles are quite difficult to sell - they arent a popular make unless in a popular size (17/17.5 W).

Narrow saddles in general are difficult to sell, as to be honest not many horses that can fit a 17" or 17.5" saddle will be narrower than a medium unless has severe muscle wastage.

I would say about £250-300 max if you have what someone is looking for. Have a look at saddles direct, they are usually a good guide of market value of saddles.
