I have Vogue insured with petplan, but was wondering if I had her value correct....

She's a 16.2hh TBX mare. 23 years old. Fit and well. 100% in every way, I could go into the ins and outs of what she can do but at her age I don't think it reflects much on her value. I have her value as £500-is this too much at her age?

Many thanks, Penny x

No I don't think you have her insured for to much. I have a tb/id who is 28 and he still can turn his hand to a little of everything, and he is inured with them for £1,600.

If she is insured for accidental death (the only case they'll pay out I'd imagine) the insurance company will ask you to get valuations from farrier/vet/instructor who is familiar with her before they pay anything, so it might be an idea to ask for their opinions.
TBH in your case I'd join BHS gold membership for 3rd party cover and not bother with insurance company.

I'm guessing that to you, she probably priceless

All mine are worth at least one million pounds each

but realistically I think you are looking at between three and four hundred pounds. None of mine are insured. I will take vets bill on the chin and replace them, God forbid, without any reflection on the monetary loss.

I'm also a BHS Gold member...
