Funnily enough, one of the best for me was from Tia when she suggested advertising in the Lady for a handyman and wife team for my sister's yard. She had a good response, and the first people she saw got the job and they are great (so thanks Tia!)

I was thinking about exactly this the other day.

My two best tips I've had from here are

1) Using a pan scourer to get mud off dirty horses - especially good for fussy horses faces or those with sensitive skin bellies... Beats brushing it off any day and at £1.50 for a pack of pan scourers you can't lose.

2) Putting tie rings for haynets on the wall inside my haybars. Okay so you still have to fill nets but you get the benefit of them eating at a natural angle but without the messy beggers dragging all their haylage straight out of the haybar and onto the floor...

Both very simple things but have made a huge difference...

Any advise ive received has been helpful, even my vet commented on the little things that i do now. Dont worry i never took the credit, told him about the forum lol

The most benefit I've had is the tremendous support through Cat's illness & subsequent death. I honestly don't know how I'd have got through it without all of you.

I also found my new dr trainer through here.

Too much to list however the piece of advice from RLF on open tread staircases saved me & my bank balance

I had some really helpful advice about sacroliac probs. However a lot of the advice Ive had has come from other peopls posts! For example there was a post about flash nosebands. Id always used one but read the post and thought about why I do use one. Took it off and my horse goes better without it.

Also had good advice for stirrup irons.

Because I keep my horses at home I find it really good to read different posts. I find I am out of touch with new products etc. Im really interested in the breeding posts at the mo as Id love to breed a foal at some point but dont have the confidence yet.

I am relativly new to posting but have been lurking for sometime, andhave found that there has been a lot of useful advice, too much to mention, but the biggest has been the suggestions given when I asked for help getting my little girl balanced. Since moving out of a livery yard and branching out on my own and having the horses at home it has been invaluble.

Oh, easy peasy this one! That getting a second horse and putting my mare in foal was a bad idea financially for me at this time LOL - thanks for being the cold voice of reason in that mad scheme HHO

All advice i've got on here is fantastic but there is one particular post i have bookmarked that was made by marius_mum that i just love. That post says....

"1. Be Impeccable With Your Word
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

2. Don't Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

3. Don't Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

4. Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret."

To give up with Chloe and get another one who was better *we didn't own her at that point*
Made me determined to figure out what was wrong....and it's been okay since...

There are so many knowledgable people on here. Too much advice to start naming it, but this place with it's people have been AMAZING.

From Boss what bit to try on Spot, although we now need a different one for XC if anyone has any suggestions.

And I'm going to try injecting Dolly's hocks and see if that helps.

It's gonna sound really sickly, but tbh, your showing advice got us from total clowns that may aswell have had a sign on our heads in the show ring saying "NO CLUE ABOUT SHOWING" to qualifying for RIHS!!!!
