Whats the best grazing muzzle?

Well, as the spring grass is starting to come through I think it's about time Max has a muzzle. YO is wanting to reseed alot of our land, so they are having to go out on lush long grazing which horses haven't been on for a year. And we all know, grass + pony = disaster ;).

Yesterday I put him out with a simple nylon grazing muzzle which seemed have have done the trick nicely, he hasn't bloated up. But is that the best muzzle out of all the ranges? I want something which will be the most comfortable for him, although I know most muzles will rub slightly, I would prefer the rubbing to be kept to a minimum. I bought one a greenguard one for my last pony and found it took ages to get it to fit correctly - he always seemed to be able to push it around to get at the grass unless it was done up so tight that it was practically touching his lips! It's very expensive too by the time you've also bought the head collar so if the one you have does the trick, I'd stick with it.
 
I've heard about quite a few people having trouble with the Greenguard muzzles, so personally I wouldn't bother as they are so expensive. What you need to keep in mind is that the nylon muzzles won't last forever, they do eventually wear and break in places, I have only ever used two types, the first I used which I can't remember the brand of lasted about a month. I then tried a Shires muzzle which costs around £15 so won't break the bank. I have been using them for about two and a half years, around 8-9 months per year (I have a very good doer and very rich grass), and am on my second muzzle. The first one last about 7 months, and this one has had about 12 months usage in total, and the first piece of rubber around the base of the muzzle broke a few weeks ago, I am waiting for more to break before I replace it, as the break is not causing a problem so far. I was worried about tooth-wear when I first started using muzzles as mine is a youngster, but have had his teeth thoroughly checked with no issues, and the vet has said the muzzle does not affect how they eat with regards to wearing of teeth so I feel better about using one now, especially as the only alternative I have is to restrict his time out by perhaps keeping him stabled alternate days as we have no starvation paddock available, but that is no life for a youngster in my eyes.

I've had my shires grazing muzzle for years and have had no problems with rubbing. I cut the hole a little bit bigger to allow him to eat something but not too much.
 
Defo wouldn't get greenguard one, I had money back from manufacturer because it doesn't work, not sure how they get away with still selling them when they are such a risk

I go with the Shires type one
