Show me your canter tracks?

Been riding my share cob for a month and not even had a chance to canter! Very jealous! :p We have awful hacking but once the hay is cut (If it's ever cut) we should have a bit more room for fun :D

To be fair at the moment most of my hacking is a bog, but this is always good as it's chalk soil and a seriously steep hill (20%).

The hacking or the sun? LOL
That lovely stretch of grass!

I was out in the sun this morning on BF - had a couple of rattling good canters (cut short due to dog walkers), but not got any old turf for a good old clearout of the lungs :o

I s'pose I should think I'm lucky as am straight onto 'okay' hacking for up to an hour with no road work, but there are an awful lot of dog walkers etc :o

Does anyone elses canter end up being a flat out gallop?

Cos I look at those tracks (enviously I might add :p) and can't help but think "faster faster" :D

I used to keep the boy out amongst the cane paddocks about 20 minutes from home and we had 2 favorite spots, one at the back of the property about 500m long and one about 15 minutes ride which went up a hill. The only problem with the hill one was despite it being my favorite the dogs at the house on the top of the hill were very rarely tied up and the boy and I ended up in the cane more times than I could count

we have rubbish BW networks where I live and you have a fair bit of roadwork to reach any fields with BWs.

Here are a couple of mine

the hard track curves round to the right and goes on for a decent way - it has a BIG hidden dip part way along though so you have to slow down for that. We have a blast on the grass alongside the track...but its quite nice to have the track in winter as it's the only passable off-road riding we have in winter

This is a nice bridleway - think I'm about 3/4 way up it n this pic...the tree line in the background is the start. But it is a dry weather ride as it's knee deep marshy when wet!
