Apart from Premier Equine? Im looking for another mediumweight/heavyweight rugs and I quite like the premier equine turnout rugs with the additional underrugs but my 6ft9 doesnt fit my horse. So are there any other makes that are just as good as PE rugs?

Horseware every time. The rugs last for years and years, excellent quality and fit and have an unbelievable resell value.

I haven't found the need to go up a size incidentally.

I had a rambo combo turnout rug a few years ago but I wasnt keen on it as it was tight across the front on a wide horse. Ill have to save up the pennies for a premier equine rug.

Just before the winter, I bought my boy a shires medium weight combo for £45. IMO its the best winter rug I have ever used. it fits him like it was made for him. Neck comes right up to his ears as this annoys me with other makes (particularly horseware) that the necks are far too thin and small. It keeps him completely dry from head to toe and he tends to be a rug wrecker but so far no rips or marks at all. Think I will stick to shires for all his rugs!!

I am intending to buy my new girlie that premier equine set of rugs with all weight liners etc. I have never used premier equine before as they are rather expensive but have heard good reviews about them and , since I will be starting afresh with her rugs, thought I may as well get one of these sets as gives me more options.

I like mark todd rugs because they have a really long neck but unfortunately they don't fit any of my horses perfectly, they always seem too tight on the shoulders. The MT fly rug in particular is an awful fit!

I have one of the new weartherbeeta heavyweights - it's brilliant I love the snuggy neck on them! They do come up slightly big though but is a good fit on mine.
I'm really pleased with it so far - it's the black with purple trim one. Anti rust clips too :D
