First looks rounder in the flap and longer in the seat so to me more favourable XC whilst the second better SJ but personally wouldn't have neither as my bum finds stubbens far too hard

See I would say the second is too deep in the seat for me to SJ in!
The top one appears to made of better quality leather and has superior neater stitching. The bottom also appears to be straighter cut and the stirrup bars are further forward.
The 2nd ones stitching does not look up to Stubbens standard and it just does not look quite right to me either. The 1st price tag is alot more for a reason - its a far better quality saddle

No its not a fake as the picture is off the offical stubben website. It is a saddle from their budget CTD range which is £700 cheaper than the original stubben - so is it worth saving £700 for basically the same saddle - or not?
Well, i have a CTD....but i didn't get it for £350 unfortunately
I paid nearly £900 for mine...and for those of you who say the quality isn't as good....i can assure you it's virtually no different....i';ve had both CTD and 'proper' Stubben saddles
The CTD's are made by Stubben trained craftsmen, under license (in Spain i believe
) and they are just being sold off cheap from the main Stubben site now for whatever reason. I was told by my saddler that CTD was Stubben's attempt to get away from their 'old fuddy duddy' image with a set of more modern cut saddles.
To those who said the stirrup bars are more forward on the second saddle...they're not....what you are looking at is actually the manufacturers plate under the top flap, not the stirrup bars
