What is the difference between the wintec pro dressage saddle and the isabell werth dressage saddle by wintec?

I have borrowed a winec isabell werth and the panels fit my boy really well as he is quite flat backed. Normally wintecs don't fit as they are too banana shaped for him.

The Isabell saddle says wintec pro on the top flap near the stirrup bar but then has the Isabel signature on the large flap. Is this tree the same on the pro as the Isabell? Could I buy a pro that has the lower cantle but the panel shape will be the same as the isabell? Had a look on ebay and the Pro's are much cheaper new.

Cheers!

I have a wintec isabell - but TBH I haven't ridden in a pro.

From what other people have said, the isabel has a much deeper seat, and it does "put" you in a certain position. Not everyone likes this position that it puts you in - I love it, but then I have always much preferred deep seated saddles.

With the fit of them - I have a wintec 2000 and a wintec isabel for my girl, and they both fit her well. However, as always with saddles there are no guarantees that 2 wintecs will fit your horse.

Personally I would say go with the isabell - only because I love mine!!

A friend has just brought a pro, and ive ridden her boy in it a couple of times, and its like riding a different horse. I sat in the issabell and didnt like it compared with the pro. I find the pro much more comfortable and it holds me in a position i prefer. It has the option of the built in contour knee blocks styled on the bates innova and i love them, they hold your leg in an amazing position, i really rate it and if i had the money or in fact needed a new saddle it would be the pro without a second thought! If i were in your position i would def try and see if you could have a sit in one somehow.

Funnily enough I dug out my Wintec Isabell today which I used on my old horse a few years back as have been struggling with my Passier for the last year on my new horse! What a difference! All comes down to personal preference and as stated above it does hold you very much in a set position. But being quite petite, I have had a job finding something I like and I rate my Isabell above most leather saddles I have tried.

The pro does have a flater seat, which you may or may not prefer. The new ones are more like the Bates Innova, which may make them a bit more like the Isobel - if you know what I mean?

If one fits your horse ok then the other one will probably fit too - obviously get a saddler to double check it for you though!

I like how the Isabell saddle keeps me in position but the pro's are cheaper! I have Karen Moxon the saddle fitter coming out at the end of July so will ask her to bring a few with her for me to try. Might be better trading in my T6 cob saddle rather than paying out on ebay for one. Thanks for all replies!

i absolutley love my wintec isabelle unfortunately i need to get a new saddle as we are mainy doing workin ghunter classes so need to sell it :-(

The isabelle has more padding, so holds you more securely, but I didn;t like feeling trapped and don't need to be wedged in, and it didn't fit Pip. The pro is almost a GP saddle with dressage flaps, but I love i and it works for us.
