hunter trials and cross counrty??

im thinking of going to my 1st hunter trial in october, and iv been to the cross country course wheres its going to be held. so whats the difference between the 2 events?

Just the name, HT is just a XC course

basically the same but some places put a gate that you have to open and close in a hunter trials. Depends on where you are going

They are the same thing IMO. just different names! as Cr81327 mentioned, they do sometimes put a little gate in.
dont know why mind!
