Its my 30th soon and my hubby asked what I'd REALLY want - of course having a lack of time due to 2 small children, a job and 2 horses I said I'd love for my 4 yr old Welsh C to be professionally backed for me. Shock horror he said 'Ok find out how much!'

Therefore what is the going rate and does anyone have any good suggestions for herts/beds/bucks area?

Thanks

Hello sorry this is a very late comment! i too am looking for a yard and would advise to watch the people in action before choosing to go!! and go on recommendations .. also going rate is between £120-£150 p/week.. up here anyway!! Lancashire area. good luck! x

Danniela Mattock in Borehamwood is a very humane and competent rider. Professional showjumper by trade but backs and breaks as well. She's my old YO and I bought a horse off her as well, really good rider.

I have just sent my horse away for backing and am paying £100 per week. The place is near Derby and has been recommended to me by several people and my daughter went there to see what it was like. Let me know if you want to know who/where it is.
