I know it depends whereabouts in the country you are, but what is the going rate for DIY livery these days? I've had mine on full livery for the past 5 years, so am completely out of touch with prices of things ie livery, feed, hay, bedding. I may have to go back to DIY, as I'm likely to be made redundant next year, so would like some figures!

That all sounds about what I expected. I got a bit of a shock when I saw one place round here advertising DIY for £50 per week!!!

Just left a yard where it was £125 a month for stable, grazing, turn out, bring in, (no rug changes) and haylage.

Now at a small rented yard paying £15 a week for stable and grazing, and the YO will turnout, rug change etc free if I need her to, in return I'll do hers when she needs me to.

When i am home (near london) the cheapest yard i could find with stable, menage (floodlit) and turnout was £27 and that was by far the cheapest, next cheapest was £35 a week.

In the countryside (well near loughborough) with the same things the cheapest i could find was £14 a week, mine is currently £15 a week

£17 a week, stable, alarmed tack room, some storage, umlimited mixed turnout, floodlit school, direct access to bridleway. The down side is that it's not the best repaired smartest yard and we all have to muck in with chores.

Mine's not a livery yard, but pay £50 a month for two, inc stable, shelter, and YO's horsey daughters will check, hay and feed daily if I need them to. Have access to water and electricity too, plus access to a menage and jumps (not onsite).

I've just moved from £6 a week (baisically field rent, no facilities at all) to £25 a week - 6 outdoor schools, an indoor, 3 round pens, gallops, XC course, literally miles and miles of fabulous hacking. Haylage is inculded and everything is done but the YO (field maintaince etc). I wish I'd done it years ago!

Ours is straight DIY, stable, individual turnout, tack room, storage in a barn & use of the arena & this is £20 p.w. £20-25 is the average price in my area. You provide your own hay, bedding, feed etc. We do have an on site groom who will muck out, turnout etc for you if you wish & you pay her for whatever extra you want doing.

I pay £35 per week for stable, individual turn out and use of floodlit school. Hay, shavings etc are on top. If you go away and want full livery its an extra £10 per day but your horse is ridden as well.

I know its not the cheapest but I was paying £90 p/mth for just a field at my old place. Livery around here (Essex/Suffolk border) is not cheap and my yard is great, I love it
