Hi!

I'm off to solihull for the 100 this sunday with Tam but won't run XC unless the ground is naturaly good/well watered/it has rained. Therefore, may I ask what the ground is like there, either if you know what it has been like in the past, or you live locally, or whatever! I'd love to run but it's no good for her tendons unless something has been done to care for the ground!

Thanks

they are aerovating but don't think they are watering and I would expect hard going tbh but at least it is a very flat course.

solihull going is always hard even when it has rained! it hasnt rained properly round here since late feb, and it is like a desert! so SRC will be rock hard and dusty! Good luck. it is a flat course, and has some grass coverage, but will still be hard.

It is a Flat course and i have competed there on a regular basis and they do a pretty good job of making it good enough to run horses over, they are definately aerovating it and i have heard they were considering watering parts of it. I only live a few miles down the road and if we get the rain expected to day it should have soaked in by sunday - but i would want studs as the grass coverage will be slippy.

They are aerovating as my partner is groundsman there. The jumping is on the outdoor school, the surface is better now than previously and the dressage surface is normally good unless very wet and then it becomes slippy (I know this from first hand experience) but I expect most places are the same.

I think you will be okay. We've had a little rain overnight in Solihull, looking through the window this morning I can see the path is damp but doubt it would have done much to the ground condition.
