Whats the maddest thing that has ever happened at your yard?

This thread has made my evening, some of the stories are hilarious! I'm quite pleased I'm home alone as I'm laughing so much I don't think I'd be able to explain what is so funny to Hubby (I might have to get him to have a read when he gets in though)

The closest we have is that a couple who broke up at christmas are still stabled next to each other and are now using the yard as the battle ground. one aparently ran the other over and then we had police, ambulance and paramedics down the yard before the other pressed charges only to drop them after the other had spent 14 hours in the cells..... it all goes quiet and then tonight it flares up again and once again police are in evidence..... who needs eastenders when you have all this on your doorstep

These are hilarious. I thought our yard was mad, but it seems tame compared to some of these!
We've had an escaped wallaby hopping through the fields, a chinese man wandering onto the yard eating a chinese meal unable to speak any english to say what he wanted. Hot air balloons landing in the neighbouring field, Noel Edmunds regularly drives past. Robbie Williams was spotted driving through the lanes.
A man who ran up onto the yard in what looked like his dressing gown, in the middle of winter after his dog, who then slipped on ice and fell over, and preceeded to tell us that it was 'our fault' the yard was icy!! Several weeks later he was arrested for stabbing someone!
We've had walkers on the foot path that runs through our field sitting their small child on my friends horse who was grazing in the field! Other walkers who insisted we get our horses in because he didn't want to walk through a field with horses in it. Walkers flying kites right next to our paddocks ( we have a lot of trouble with walkers!!)
But..... the best one yet is one of our liveries, the other day saw..... a Big Cat in our hay field when he was walking his dog just after it had started getting dark! No he wasn't drunk! It actually scared him to peices, and he reported it to the police!!
That's just a fraction of what goes on at our yard!!

I start work at 7.30 on a saturday morning and used to turn out my pony in a field a short distance from the yard down a bridleway . So one morning at about 6.30 , barely light I find someone sleeping right by the gate to the field.Don't suppose he was expecting to be woken that early but I had to ask him to move so I was not late for work.

At Home as a child on the farm can remember Dad's combine driver coming into the yard saying had we seen anyone around? Dad said no he said well I have just combined there clothes so they are somewhere on the farm with nothing on! We never did find them but did not do much for the combine. Found shreds of clothes in that winters straw and always giggled.

When we were on a livery yard we had the police call round to ask if we had seen one of the other liveries husbands on the yard on a particular sunday morning, as he was claiming that he had been at the yard rather than committing some offence or other. The thing about it was that it was a sunday we all remembered, he wasn't there and he was trying to get an alibi from sister (primary school teacher) me (social worker) AND two other liveries who were both Police Officers :) lol, needless to say he did not get his alibi :(
