Whats the most annoying thing your horse does?

could you not stand the wrong way around in the box in the first place? then hed point himself the right way?
hehe thats the kinda brilliant thing id decide to do, get really wierd looks for it, and then feel quite dissapointed when my genious idea didnt work :D

Aah, but he's just too clever for that - He'd KNOW I was tricking him I guarantee it! Its not actually IN the box he does it, its when you're wondering outside the box getting ready to go in it (I cant put him in the start box and then wait the 1 or 2 mins because he gets wound up as the box = go time! So I have to mill about outside it until the 10 second count down).

My TB always shakes his head/neck when I've laid his mane. He also blows out 4 holes when I girth him. His present game is 0-60mph in 0.2 seconds through our village at 6.45am. It's hilarious as he adds in a few squeals and bucks for good measure. Terrifies the olds out walking their dogs. I chuckle at the people we must wake up! The clatter when it's that quiet is pretty loud!!!

Mine is spooky, opinionated (if left in her stable when she thinks she shouldn't be, she will run backwards bucking) incredibly sharp, and can be grumpy.

However, I absolutely adore her. She is affectionate, clever, and incredibly single minded. Once she has worked out and accepted what you want her to do, she tries her hardest to do it for you. It's just getting her to accept it without arguement thats the issue ;) She also thinks she is a JA pony, so is SO much fun to jump :p

How old is she? I think Lacey and Lucky must have been seperated at birth, but luckily Lacey isn't spooky (I hope I haven't cursed things saying that)

Spooking at EVERYTHING on a hack! From brightly coloured flowers, shadows, rugs hacking on a gate, you name it... spinning round, generally being a pain. However it winds me up so much that I then take him into the school after and make him work SO hard, and he always goes amazingly well, much better than he would have otherwise! No pain no gain I guess :p

Good Bits - honest, straight and will try his heart out for me. And then some :) He comes when I call him, usually galloping and bucking - he even neighs to me :D Plus, we "Play" hide and seek, I hide he seeks ;) and other fun games (not parelli :p) on foot :D Although, playing "how close can the hoof come to me" with a 16.2 is a bit risky!!
He is bombproof to hack, is a great nanny and gives leads to anyone who needs them - and he dosent kick :D We have had a lot of horses banging into the side of him when giving the lead - he just swings out and carrys on :D
Did you know I love my horse? :p

Bad bits - dressage will never be our "thing" :p but getting there :) He can be a bit "cocky" to lead, ie. If you arent the boss he soon will be lol, but stable manners are 100% times better than when he first came :) he is stressy when in a field with other horses, only really when its time to come in - he HAS to be the first one in otherwise he gallops :o And he is really bossy in the field, but the donkeys have him sorted now ;)
He can be a bit of a handful when at events and walking him around, but this year he is fantastic, never once tried to take off with me when I lead him :D
Hmm... I seem to cancel out the negatives... How about the fact that he is so photogenic means I am addicted to buying photos? Purse a little empty :o

Bash is great to ride. He'll go whatever speed I ask and will always stop as soon as asked when galloping. He's 100% to hack alone and will go anywhere and past almost anything. He's great to catch, load, clip, shoe. He'll quite happily stay in his stable while the other horses are out. He loves xc and showjumping although he does have a tendency to get a bit cocky and believe he's a grade A showjumper.

Bad points.
Turns into a naughty baby when hacking in company where everything suddenly wants to eat him. He won't take the lead past things that he'd not even look at if he were on his own and the other horse has to go first while he tries to get as far up its ar*e as he can.
Can sometimes be a pain to tie up and will wring his neck and wave a front leg in the air if he thinks somethings going on that he feels he's missing out on.
If he see's something scary while being led he won't give me chance to reassure him or anything. He'll just whip round and leg it, ripping the leadrope through my hands in the process.
One of the worst things is he's suddenly developed a fear of being vaccinated and goes crazy when the vet tries to vaccinate him. He's been like this the last 3 times and at 24yr old it's not like being vaccinated is new to him.
He's a proper MINGER! not happy unless he's scruffy (the joys of a grey!)

My boy is just gorgeous on the ground. He ALWAYS trots up to meet me if i'm walking by his field and gives me a nuzzle. He just loves his food and never says no to a treat. He has lovely paces and a great scopey jump. But, he often bucks when asked to canter or when he just doesn't want to do what he's told. He goes mental if left alone in the barn if there isn't any other horses. If tied up without a hay net he fidgets and fuses. He can be unpredictable at times for no good reason. And his latest habit is giving you a great header when looking for a treat.
However I still love him and would hate to see him go.

Toto is a total dude, but he's very very unpredictable at shows, like one show he'll jump clear no problem ignore the fillers, and next time we'll get eliminated at the 2nd fence  He just lacks confidence, but we'll get there :)

At home he also chews his leadrope when you lead him, unties himself, opens his stable door, spooks at his own shadow and occasionally refuses to go into his stable  :)

Oh dear, where to start...

Adrian the ISH - most annoying thing is that he's got the go-slows & £5k vet bill later, we're none the wiser. Good points - very laid back...or maybe he's died standing up & I haven't noticed yet.

Trev the ex-racer - most annoying things are that he won't hack AT ALL or stay on the lorry more than 0.000001 sec without going mental & trying to scramble out over the partitions. Good points - laid back, clever & obliging.

Jenny 37 yo retired TBx - most annoying thing is that she drives me distracted by kicking the effing gate for more food. It makes a din because the gate is metal & she's still shod in front. Good point - no trouble to do, except for eating as much as 5 racers & letting herself onto the yard.
